Welcome to the Department of Chest Diseases. Currently, we cover consultation of chest diseases at the Outpatient Department (OPD). We are fortunate to have the assistance of Dr. Mahmood I. Siddique, DO, FACP, FCCP, FAASM, Clinical Assistance Professor, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Medicine, UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, New Jersey USA who specializes in Pulmonology, Sleep Disorders and Critical Care Medicine.

In addition we hope to introduce the following services in the near future:

1. Advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities for patients with a wide variety of respiratory disorders.

2. Will have Pulmonary Function Laboratory with a full complement of testing equipment, including inhalation challenge testing, and the Bronchoscopy Suite, which is equipped with laser therapy capability.

3. Introduce a Sleep Disorders Center and Hyperbaric Medicine Unit also are part of the division. Critically ill patients receive care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit under the supervision of the division. An active education program for pulmonary fellows, medical residents and medical students complements the division's ongoing research activities.
